Chautauqua Lodge Pet Policy
Chautauqua Lodge welcomes well-behaved pets and service animals. So we may continue to welcome your pets, please adhere to the following rules and guidelines to ensure enjoyment and safety for all our guests and staff.
~ Guests will be charged $15 per pet, per night with a suggested maximum of two pets per unit (depending on size and unit occupied.)
~ All well-behaved pets are welcome, but we do NOT allow aggressive, noisy, unruly or disruptive pets.
~ Animals that pose a health or safety risk may not remain onsite per our manager’s discretion. This includes those pets that cause damage to our property or that of other guests, are too disruptive, are not properly attended or demonstrate aggressive behavior.
~ Chautauqua Lodge has designated specific rooms as “pet-friendly.” All pets and service animals must be declared at check-in. This provides our staff with key safety information about the location of dogs on our premises and the ability to service your room. Any guests with an unregistered pet or unattended dog will be charged a $50 fee in addition to the daily pet fee of $15.
~ In consideration of all guests and staff, pets be attended to and under control at all times. Pets MUST be on a leash and under control while on Chautauqua Lodge property and premises. Do NOT leave your dog unattended in your room at any time. If you dog is found unattended in your room, you will be charged a $50 fee in addition to the daily pet fee of $15.
~ Please be considerate of other guests when walking pets on the property. Clean up after your pet. Owners are responsible for picking up and properly disposing of pet waste. Extra plastic bags are available at the lobby front desk. The designated pet area is located in the grassy area northeast of the Lodge property.
~ Rooms left with pet waste or excessive pet hair will be assessed a $50 charge for extra cleaning.
~ Dogs with disruptive behavior or barking will be required to leave the Lodge immediately with no refund.
Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chautauqua Lodge, its owners and operator from all liability and damage suffered as a result of the guest’s pet.
Per the City of Long Beach leash law, you must keep your dog leashed at all times when inside city limits or in Peninsula-area State Parks. Dogs may run off-leash on the beach only when outside of the Long Beach city limits. Maps are available at the lobby front desk.
